When It Is A Zillion Degrees Outside… (A Note To My Future Self)

Today, on my lunch break, it felt like it was a zillion degrees out. I was not expecting this weather when my phone’s weather app said today’s high would be in the mid-80’s and a low in the low 70’s. So, a note to my future self:

  • when it is the end of July in D.C., don’t believe what the weather app tells you about the temperature. You have been through this countless times before and know the drill.
  • when it is a zillion degrees out, don’t wear clothes made of unbreathable materials.
  • when it is a zillion degrees out, don’t wear long capris or pants.
  • when it is a zillion degrees out, don’t wear a top with sleeves longer than “short”.
  • when it is a zillion degrees out, wear sunglasses.
  • when it is a zillion degrees out, sit in the shade.
  • when it is a zillion degrees out, don’t forget to consume mass amounts of water- preferably cold.
  • when it is a zillion degrees out, stay indoors.
